What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I am the author of the Learn To Tie With The Rabbit and the Fox series of picture books which teach kids to tie a knot in a neck tie or scarf. It took me years to come up with a how to tie a bow story. One morning I woke up and the story was there for me, ready to be written. I guess some things are just meant to be.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
There is an old mnemonic about tying a neck tie by following the moves of a fox chasing a rabbit through a forest. That is why I used those characters. In Cleo Can Tie A Bow, she remembers how to tie a bow by watching the animals interacting. In this story, the fox is not chasing the rabbit…she is a helpful forest creature.
