BOOK 1: What do you get when your father’s a centaur and your mother’s a powerful magician? A unicorn shifter… You’d think being the only known unicorn shifter in the world would have a few benefits. Like, people treating you kindly or getting special treatment from the council. Not in my case. I’d be lucky to get a piece of bread thrown at me.My name is Celestia Rainbow, and yes, my last name is fucking Rainbow.Shifters assume that I’m kind by nature, but trust me: I’m fierce, short-tempered and have the mouth of a sailor. Add in my stealthy fighting skills, advanced magic casting, and swift movement, I’m someone you wouldn’t want to mess with. But everyone looks at my shifter side – my ditzy, peaceful half, sprinkling magic dust, and on a mission to end world hunger.Regardless of my dual personality, I’ve sworn to become a huntress at Aslan Academy. Now that I’m of age–my lucky twenty-fifth birthday just happens to coincide with the entrance exams–I’m ready to prove my worth. Too bad I’m grouped up with six sinful looking men. Time to prove to my community, classmates and this attractive bunch of weirdos that unicorns can kick ass too. BOOK 2: Not everything you see with your eyes is true, but magic can reveal all that’s hidden. Celestia Rainbow and her team of misfits thought they had seen it all. But as they enter a new world filled with mystery and suspense, they are unsure what their future holds at Aslan Academy, School for Hunters and Huntresses. With very little time to recover, they are pushed into a new set of challenges, ones that can either make them stronger or break the bonds they’ve created.Alliances are made, but evil doesn’t stop trying to bring Celestia down a darker path. With the clock ticking and the Forsaken multiplying day by day, it’s up to Finn, Hunter, Orion, Theo, Caio and Cairus to guide Celestia back to the light the best way they know how; by loving her with all their might. Will Aslan’s badass unicorn be destroyed by the darkness within? Or saved by the men who’ve sworn to protect and care for her? BOOK 3: A magical discovery leads to a path of hope, but will the darkness be stronger than light? Celestia Rainbow never expected to find out the truth about her birth or the role she now plays in the crisis going on throughout the dimensions.Forsaken are getting stronger and are now attacking hunters and huntresses across the dimensions out of their desire for immense power. Celestia must now deal with learning how she can help while also balancing her classes at Aslan Academy and dealing with the tension that’s growing within her team. With Theo returning home, Hunter dealing with his own issues, and Cairus and Caio feeling stuck on deciding whose side they’re on, Celestia, Finn, and Orion are having to work overtime to try and bring Team Misfit back together. Now that they know the identity of the mysterious man from Celestia’s dreams, it’s time to fight darkness with light, with the help of new comrades, familiars, and a little sprinkle of glitter. Will Aslan’s Elite unicorn shifter be able to hold onto her badass name and finally defeat the growing darkness? Or will she and her lovers finally crumble beneath their own insecurities? Book 4: Time is running out as dimensions across the galaxies are being overtaken by the Darkness. It’s up to Aslan’s Elite Unicorn Shifter to use everything she’s discovered, reunite with her lovers, family, and trusty familiar, and save the world as they know it.

Anne rated it it was amazing Shelves: reverse-harem

Yet again a brilliant read from this author. The characters are unreal. They make the settings and the plot fuller. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love the out of this world (pun intended) world-building and amazing story lines. It’s just that the characters are fricking exceptional.

Take Celestia, the fmc, for an example. At such a young age, and no one else to take care of her, she’s already facing the ugliness of bullying and stupidity of narrow-minded beings. At 3% into this read, she pretty much broke me already. But then after that fateful day, she’s given a chance to rise from the brink of death. And rise, she did. She grew up beautifully; she grew up strong and smart. She was most amazing during those entrance exams! I could practically feel the adrenaline myself while reading her in action.

She broke me again when the guys decided to adopt her into their team. When they realized she could be their everything but she herself felt nothing. I noticed how she mentioned a lot of times how dumbfounded she was that the guys befriended her at all. Unfortunately, for all her remarkable physical & mental strength, her extraordinary magic as a rare unicorn shifter…she had yet to see her current self as she was. And I would be looking forward for her (and the guys to help her) bolster self-worth and emotional strength.

Then there were the guys. As usual, they were all dreamy and kind and funny.

Special mention to the legend, Magnor Rune. I know how Celestia worshiped him since he ‘saved’ her from herself. But obviously, the old man also found his own salvation in Celestia. it’s the most beautiful thing in the book. plus i ugly-sobbed that time when Celestia was leaving for the academy.

PS I don’t how Celestia does it…with the parents situation. I know, guys…I know. I know that they are responsible for the greater good and all that jazz. But yeah, it doesn’t lessen any of the pain I felt on behalf of Celestia. I kind of resent them for not being there when she needed them the most. And isn’t that the tragedy of the century? In my eyes, they will always be the absentee parents. Great (greatest?) authority figures they might be…great parents they weren’t. (But I’m not above giving forgiveness if some time they’re able to redeem themselves.) Celestia, you rock! Your understanding at such a young age where most needed tender care and affection? I can’t even fathom.

PPS Have I told you all how I love Magnor Rune? Greatest man ever!!!
