I taught myself. I am left handed and my Mom tried to show me but I figured it out by myself.

My mother gave me a shoe lace raped around an arm of a chair and taught me how to tie it.
I’m not 100% sure all of the details exactly but I do have a memory of my grandmother showing me the “bunny ears” method and that is how I prefer to tie my shoes to this day.
That was too long ago for me to remember. I do know that I have difficulty TEACHING someone how to ties their shoelaces, though.
One loop and the other goes around and through. 🙂 Something like that.
