As with most Berenstein Bear books, it teaches children important lessons. The lessons here are that one person shouldn’t have to do all the work to keep up a house because it’s too much, and also, if the house is not kept up it becomes very unpleasant to live in – both great lessons! As always, it was colorful and had cute illustrations too! Perfect for young children and middle-school aged children too!

I absolutely love these Berenstain Bears books. So many of these I checked out from the library and read them to my daughter. She loved them and some of these teach great lessons. Growing up in the 80’s I watched the cartoon. Good stuff!
