Asleep Now! My Baby Sleep Recipes:
Gentle Sleep Solutions, Baby Sleep Aids, Book for Parents
by Jessica Ram
Your baby is not sleeping well? Welcome to the club! We always hope that our babies sleep well. However, the reality often looks different. Soon you realize – your little sweetheart doesn’t sleep easily. A few nights pass and you are tired and exhausted. But believe me, there is hope!
I’m a mom and faced the same situation. However, I was very lucky. I knew some experienced mothers and grandmothers who gave me helpful advice and support. I literally absorbed all the tips and tricks and then I started trying and optimizing myself. To make sure that I don’t forget anything, I started writing down my sleep solutions early on.
In the meantime, my notes have become a book. How valuable it would have been if I had had that knowledge from the start! That’s why I would like to share my proven, gentle sleep solutions – my sleep recipes – with all moms and dads with this book! Personally, I also like to call them my sleep spells.
If you’re reading my book, I’m sure that you know some of the sleep solutions already. Common aids are widely used – and not without good reason. However, it is crucial to think of the right help at the right time and to use it gently and effectively.
The following is what I would like to pass on to you:
• A proven reference book that you can access instantly and at any time
• A total of over 35 sleep solutions for various challenges
• Included are sleep solutions that help you when you are tired and exhausted
• Allocations: in which situation is which solution most helpful
• Many tips on how to use sleep solutions effectively and how to combine them
• Question and answer section: Further help and suggested solutions to common sleep challenges
• and all of that without leaving your baby crying
Age group: This book is written for babies. However, many of my sleep recipes are just as suitable for toddlers/children and can help you and your child.

Elizabeth – 5.0 out of 5 stars – WOW! I needed this book!!!
After raising my own kids who are grown adults. Like labor pains, I forgot about the fussy stages little ones can go through. Until recently, I watched my grandson for 6 days while his parents took a much-needed vacation. My grandson began teething his back molars and was inconsolable. I was beside myself and felt like a “bad grandma” because everything I tried to sooth him backfired. What I loved about this book is that it addresses several stages with magical recipes as power tools for caregivers!
“Recipe 7” saved my life and my grandsons stress level. The “Magic of Composure” and thinking of the consequences of being impatient with the little one getting to sleep and stop fussing was instrumental in my journey. “The Magic of Holding Hands”…building a sense of trust and safety. I am going to try white noise to stave off the apartment complex noises outside his bedroom window. I also was relieved to find
“The Register/Usage of sleep solutions” at the back of the book is very helpful. The author wrote such a compassionate and perfectly orchestrated ‘how to’ book for a special niche-babies! I don’t feel like a helpless grandparent anymore. Next time I watch the little bumpkin, I will be ready with some magical recipes and strategies from this book. Truly ONE OF A KIND BOOK! Bravo and GRATEFUL!!
Lani Tana – 5.0 out of 5 stars – Good book
This book is for all moms. Especially for those whose children do not sleep well. If this continues for a long time, then the mother’s health may become worse due to prolonged lack of sleep. There are many sleeping recipes in the book and everything is explained clearly and step by step.

My Motivation for writing the book
My first daughter was a very bad sleeper. I was overwhelmed, exhausted, sad and overtired. The first advice I got was: wait, it gets better. But I didn’t want that. I wanted to help my daughter.
I then interviewed many experienced mothers and collected all the information about babies and sleeping, that I could get. Then I started to try everything and optimize myself. And it worked! I wrote down my first sleep recipes, which I also like to call ‘sleep spells’. This is because I think there is some magic to every gentle sleep solution. Being gentle and watching a satisfied baby sleep, simply is magical.
Word got out and soon other moms in my neighborhood wanted to learn about my solutions and I gave out notes with my tips on a regular basis. This has motivated me to keep on writing and summarize my sleep recipes in a book. This way they became available to all mums and dads.
