Hello, My grandson is ready now to learn. I have not tried as yet to teach him.
My thoughts are to make one bow and wrap around to make a bow.
My nephew wears rain boots so he doesn’t have to tie his shoes but this would be great for helping him!
There is a great Youtube video easy for kids video that helps your kids learn to tie their shoes.
I taught my daughter how to tie shoes by using a doll’s shoe.
use a song
My friends still make fun of me because I can only do the initial way I was taught lol. I have to do the two bunny ears. I do have trouble with my fingers though due to Arnold-Chiari, so that might be why also.
it is harder than any other thing i have had to teach my son
I have a 4 and freshly 6 yr old boys still working on the shoe tying thing!

I definitely remember it being difficult for me as a kid, but loving making it into a game!
I remember patience, patience, patience!!!!
Patience is key when teaching someone to tie shoes
I need to start looking at tips for this because my son is of the age that he needs to start learning how!
I have learned that sometimes, its better to wait until kiddos are a little older than the typical age to start learning.
I think that patience and taking it slow are key to making the learning easier.
Wish I would have had this when I was teaching my kids how to tie their shoes!
