Ellen Gunn5.0 out of 5 stars This is an absolutely wonderfully fantastic continuation of the Andy Smithson series of books Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2015Verified Purchase
This is an absolutely wonderfully fantastic continuation of the Andy Smithson series of books. The author paints such clear word pictures that the reader can “see” what’s taking place. A great read for pre-teens and weaves important life lessons within the pages as the characters deal with ethical/moral dilemmas. An easy read and captures the reader right from the start. I would highly recommend this for any pre-teen. If the person likes Harry Potter books, they’ll love these books.

I really enjoyed this book, and I believe it would appeal to any age group. The book is extremely well written, and it paints a believable picture about the land of Oomaldee. A telepathic dragon speaks to Andy through the Whisper Stream, which is a network of messages for higher-level creatures, as she flies him through a mountain tunnel that transports them to a medieval world. Andy then encounters a cumbersome predicament as he is faced with saving the kingdom or saving his mother. Along the way he encounters more than his share of challenges as the evil Abaddon curses the village folk by turning them into vulture people. Without providing any more spoilers, I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys an amazing magical adventure.
