Practice explain and show than let your child do it themselves

I taught my granddaughter how to tie and she was a good student. I like the make a bow and wrap around the bow.
We always used the ‘Rabbit Ears’ method to tie shoes.
I don’t have any suggestions yet .. my kids are still too young.
it can be a lot more of a stuggle than you think
It’s hard to teach a left hander how to tie shoes if you are right handed.
Bunny ears always seems to be the easiest for kids to understand so I feel like that is the best way to start teaching little ones.
I don’t have any kids so I have never taught anyone to tie their shoes.

use a song
I learned from experience, that all kids don’t grasp the concept as well as others.Both my girls learned much faster than my son.
It helps if you make a song out of it.
It helps with the fine motor skills.
My 7 year old still can’t tie her shoes. I have no idea what else to try, hoping a book might do the trick!
Ahhhhhhhh, patience! But both of my kids learned pretty quickly!!!!
Our son actually taught his sister because it was too confusing for her to understand the way mom and dad explained it. lol
My son is trying to learn. it takes so much patience!
