A Couple of Reviews To Help You Choose
Linchetto 5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Home…
This is not your average, candy coated fairytale that has helped further the dumbing down of society, beginning with the most impressionable of ages, yet, a fantasy or fable that is appropriate for all ages. It is, in a sense, a revisit/ revival of historical tales that generally were much darker, magical, tragic and therefore filled with hard life lessons.
Set in a wilderness where there is only a community of animals driven mostly by their nature it is hard not to compare their “instinct” to the self preserving, self righteous and hateful behavior, humans exhibit, which invite pain and to avoid pain. Whether passive, following logic or “the light” or aggressive, volatile, and walking the path of “evil”, damage attracts damage, hope attracts hope, the darkness attracts the light and vice versa, because both are used to achieve the same needs. Where, or what is Home? Home is where one belongs; a metaphorical magnet connecting hearts and souls, infinitely entwined.

Once in a while you come across a piece of writing which gives you pause. Deceptively simple but profound in depth. From the chalk board cover to the simple text and beautiful illustrations ‘The Story of the Fox and the White Rabbit’ is one of these. Its a read you can finish browsing at the bookshelf, but you want to take it home and read and re-read it. Each time it gives up a nugget of something profound and thoughtful, provoking reflection, sometimes disturbing as if something magical lies nestled within its covers. It is not your ordinary fairy tale. It is something you leave in plain sight, to revisit and read again, even if to give it a passing stroke of the hand. I recommend this book to those who seek something out of the ordinary, something special, the limits of which are bound only by imagination and insight. Extraordinary.
