my son just aint getting it down…
I was a pediatric occupational therapist so I’ve taught many children to tie their shoes. Even children with only one functional hand. But I have neglected to teach my own 6yo. 😅
I never fully learned how to tie my shoes. I do the double bunny ears. As an adult I’ve tried to learn the proper way but I have issues with my hands due to Arnold-Chiari Brain Malformation so I just stick with what I know 🙂
There are two different ways of tying your shoes is what I learned as a kid. I think I learned both at around 4 1/2.
I don’t know how old I was when I learned to tie my shoes. I never knew the bunny ears trick.
I did the loops. I didn’t know anything about the others.
I did the bunny ears trick growing up. I also taught my oldest son that way. I will also teach my 2 and 3 year olds that way as well but I’m sure this book would be of some help as well!
my grandma taught me!

I remember teaching my two girls how to tie their shoe laces. What a unique idea for a book!
I actually had a hard time learning this skill as a child. This book is a great idea.
Stick to the same method of tying shoes it will be easier
I always used the bunny method and there is also a spongebob episode that helps with tying shoes.
