The Gospel Activity Book of Bible Stories for Toddlers and Kids Ages (6-8) is an absolute must-have! The first and only activity book for kids, providing perspective and diversity in the genre of black bible stories for children, without forcing colorful illustrations to every page. This way we allow our kids imagination to be as creative as possible and run free throughout the history each page depicts. What’s most exciting for all our customers- but especially black and brown customers, is how much detail of black culture is featured. Historically the mention of Ancient Egypt, and the African continent doesn’t always connect the dots so we wanted to turn up the volume. However, whether your kids are black, white, yellow or purple this book delivers the goods. They can be new to Bible stories or already love Jesus, and still our book can add value, plus the perfect type of vibe to align with any youth ministry.

Parents, finally get to enjoy some uninterrupted “me-time” while kids or students get lost in a safe and fun learning book filled with black bible stories for children. No other book brings this one-of-a-kind excitement to the echo of the greatest story ever told. Find encouragement through visuals of Mary and Joseph in the manger or Moses parting the Red Sea. This book is over 80 pages of not just illustrations, but tons of puzzles and games that will keep your children busy for hours! A wonderful teaching tool, no matter the season.

SDM – 5.0 out of 5 stars – This is just what I’ve been looking for!!

I am a returning purchaser. I am buying them for the children in my Sunday School class. This is a nicely done color and activity book. It has been on my search list for so long. Love the representation for children of color. I hope there is another edition in the works!!

Kayla Spears – 5.0 out of 5 stars – Great to have!

I love how the reader is able to have fun while also learning important events in The Bible. I also appreciated the representation that this book has, which makes clearer connections to Egypt and Africa.

About The Author

Mr. Ukay J. Ekong

Ukay J. Ekong was born and raised on the northeast side of Dallas, Texas. His father and mother, Imoh and Grace, were both hard-working white collar Nigerian immigrants, providing great examples on overcoming some of life’s toughest obstacles, while also representing the value of putting your best foot forward every day.

Ukay began writing by accident, if you can believe it. This took place when he was around 6 or 7, by way of just engaging in routine morning journaling exercises offered daily as class curriculum during his time at Thomas Haley Elementary in Irving, Texas. His work ethic and big heart can be represented in his involvement as a youth mentor for the organization, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Dallas, and volunteer work every Sunday as a Bible school teacher. Finding his calling early, Ukay decided he was best positioned to focus all his energy around writing stories and offering ideas that detail physical and spiritual health, as well as mental support specifically for African-American youth and adults. Through is writings readers understand and appreciate his openness on his admission to struggles with childhood trauma and bullying.

Totaling six books to date, which includes a highly anticipated children’s book, along with an audiobook advocating for mental health, the future looks bright. Right now the main focus overall is finding new ways to pour back into underserved people and communities to uplift, educate, and empower. The hope is that his story will help remind others that even broken people can be used for greatness.
