What are some of your pet peeves?

I’m definitely a cat person. I love all types of cats—how cute and fierce they can be, how independent they are, and how everything is always on their terms. That said, I’m an animal lover in general, except when it comes to ticks!

Where were you born/grew up at?

I was born in Osorno, Chile, but I’ve spent most of my life in the stunning city of Stockholm, Sweden. While I’ve always carried a piece of Chile with me, Stockholm has shaped much of who I am today, with its charming streets, vibrant culture, and long, beautiful summers. The mix of my roots in South America and the experiences I’ve had in Sweden gives me a unique perspective on life.

Who is your hero and why?

I firmly believe in the saying, “Never meet your heroes,” because no one is perfect, and heroes are often just people with flaws like the rest of us. That being said, I admire people who spread love, kindness, and joy. Robin Williams is a great example. His ability to bring laughter while also showing deep compassion and vulnerability makes him someone I truly look up to.

How to find time to write as a parent?

This a hard one, quite a challenge! My profession isn’t as a full-time writer; I work as a live-action/animation Director and a creative producer. However, since my work is mostly project-based, I do have time to focus on my book in between jobs. While my wife is busy with her full-time job, I’m at home managing the house and the kids. Balancing being a “house-man” and writing can be tough, but it works for me. I don’t have a deadline to worry about, and writing is a fun way to express my creativity between projects. It’s all about finding that rhythm!

Which of your novels can you imagine made into a movie?

I can definitely imagine The Harlequin’s Legacy as an exciting movie. It has everything—adventure, magic, good vs. evil, and themes like friendship, love, belonging, loss, and even bullying. These elements would create a compelling story that draws viewers in and keeps them engaged. The mix of action, emotion, and fantasy would make it a film that resonates with a wide audience.

As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal? A Scottish shorthair (straight ears).
